Quartz

Quartz is an engineered stone that combines natural quartz crystals with resin, producing one of the hardest and most versatile countertop surfaces available. Known for its uniform appearance and wide range of colours and patterns, quartz delivers a modern, sleek look to any kitchen or bathroom.

Its non-porous surface resists stains, scratches, and bacteria, making it the most popular choice for busy kitchens. Unlike natural stone, quartz never requires sealing and is remarkably easy to maintain over time.

At Vivid, we carry a premium selection of quartz from leading manufacturers. Our collection ranges from classic whites and soft neutrals to bold, dramatic patterns. Whether you're looking for something subtle or a statement piece, our team will help you find the perfect match.

Quartz FAQs

No. Quartz is non-porous and never requires sealing, unlike granite or marble.

Quartz is heat-resistant, but we recommend using trivets for very hot cookware. Prolonged direct heat can potentially damage the resin binding.

Quartz offers more consistent patterning, requires no maintenance, and resists staining better. Granite offers natural uniqueness and superior heat resistance. Both are excellent. Your decision typically comes down to aesthetic preference and maintenance tolerance.
